Baba Brinkman

The RWC crew have just returned home from watching The Rebel Cell. Brief synopsis...The year is 2013. England has adopted new anti-terrorism laws that dispense with the last of their civil liberties. Dizraeli, the leader of the popular revolution, has been arrested and faces terrorism charges. Baba Brinkman is the journalist assigned to interview the prisoner and get to the bottom of his dissident politics. But both men bring a hidden agenda to the meeting, which constantly threatens to derail the conversation. Will Dizraeli follow in the footsteps of Nelson Mandela or Che Guevara? Enter the Rebel Cell...

Baba Brinkman is a badman and the RWC crew are feeling this spoken work poem/rhyme about unrequited love.

Dizraeli

The RWC crew get to see Dizraeli tonight in our hometown of Guernsey, it should be good.

Skateistan

Earlier this month the RWC crew posted the mini documentary about the kids in Uganda that build their own skate park. The RWC crew have just been turned on to this amazing short film by the ever eloquently wordy Georgina Burrows...Skateistan: To Live And Skate Kabul is a beautifully shot film that
follows the lives of a group of young skateboarders in Afghanistan. Operating against the backdrop of war and bleak prospects, the Skateistan charity project is the world’s first co-educational skateboarding school, where a team of international volunteers work with girls and boys between the ages of 5 and 17, an age group largely untouched by other aid programmes. Amazing.

Whachadoin?

The RWC crew missed the video for this tune when it dropped and have just randomly found it. Good stuff. N.A.S.A "Whachadoin?" (feat. M.I.A., Spank Rock, Santogold and Nick Zinner) With that line up, this tune should actually be better than it is.

Yo Gabba Gabba VS Vans

The RWC crew love Yo Gabba Gabba and Vans....Yo Gabba Gabba! creators developed a series of five original shorts highlighting each of the Gabba Land characters. Each short draws inspiration from the worlds of action sports and music.

In this one, Muno explores the streets of Los Angeles via skateboard a la the iconic segments from the Bones Brigade Video Show. The short features the same music, "Nite Cruiser 2" by the Dragons, as heard in the legendary video part. Genius. Watch all of them here.

Anchor Woman

The RWC crew have a new favourite TV host. Jennie on WXIItv, she's the bomb. Unfortunately the videos can't be embedded. Everyone of them is a beauty, click here for a comedy blowjob joke and work your way through the rest of them. She is pure TV gold.

Funktually Sublime PT 3

So so good. For parts 1 and 2, click here.

Not A Winehouse In Sight

The RWC crew think that these two songs should get married....

...and have little baby music videos that sound like this.....

This is How We Roll

Guernsey could learn a thing from these guys. Swiss photographer/videographer Yann Gross travelled to Uganda in 2009 to document the building of Kitintale skatepark, the first (and at the time) only skatepark in East Africa. Built entirely by the community, without help or support from the government. Seriously inspiring stuff. Via Howies.
